Go Canada Go!!!

The rematch, Canada Vs USA, Vancouver 2010 Olympics.
Julius wore his Lucky Maple leaf sweater and we dressed in red to watch the game and it payed off!!

Very excited, celebrating faces after Canada scored the winning goal!!

Victory!!

This is the next day, very tired and hungover after work!!

My day out in London

Late January, Grant had a Chiropractic seminar at Heathrow, so I came for an indulgent day out in London.
It started with a Starbucks coffee and baked treat, then a walk up Reagent's Street and Oxford street for some window shopping. Stumbled on a Japanese Restaurant for lunch, SUSHI! Then getting lost and found again in Soho. A browse around Covent Garden market, then a stroll to Trafalgar square (where I took these pictures to prove the weather is always better in London and the sun is always shining in Trafalger Square). Then I treated myself to a cup of tea and a cake at the National Gallery Cafe before looking at the priceless works of art.
I ended the day with a hot bath in the hotel with the bath bomb I purchased at Lush, then a lovely Italian meal with my Husband and a few tasty cocktails in the hotel bar before bed.
What a great day...

Beacons Fell

A Sunday afternoon stroll in January at Beacons Fell, about 20min from our place. Still a bit Icey and slippery!!

New Years 2010!!!

New Years Eve 2010!! Liverpool!!
Dinner at one of our favorites, Bistro Pierre. Delicious, fresh French food!

Then we went for a few drinks...

Then we went on to Liverpool ferris wheel

No arms out the window, but big green hard-ons are permitted!

These two photos are titled 'TIPPY TOP!!' Where we'd scream when we came to the 'tippy top' of the Ferris Wheel.

There are no photos for the rest of the night, but we had a few more drinks, went back to the room, had some champagne, Dad set off a 'Party Cannon' and then proceeded to vaccuum at 2am.

The Lakes

Bridget wanted to get real English tea and scones, so we went up to the Lake district and found a little tea house, and had hot cup of tea, and a hot rum buttered scones with real cream, which I thought, mmmeh, ok, and then I tasted it, and it was DELICIOUS!!! and I haven't stopped thinking about it since!!! mmmm....
and I have to say, these beautiful pictures of Lake Derwentwater in Keswick were all taken by Toby, I can't take credit for them

Blackpool!

Blackpool!! West coast of England, used to be a popular sea side resort for Brits, now is a very tacky town full of casinos, shops with dirty souvenirs, stag and hen party's and an amusement park!

Blackpool tower (they think it's like the Eiffel Tower)

Toby made Blackpool look beautiful!!

Looks really warm doesn't it?

Oh Val!

Boxing Day

Lazy Boxing Day...wandered around Wigan, crappy little Lancashire town, but it has a tradition of dressing up in "Fancy Dress" (ie Costumes) on Boxing day.

Some weird ancient porno pictures all over the pub.
