Glastonbury Videos

Here are some very short video clips of some of the bands we saw!!

Glastonbury 6

Day three was all about the heat! The sun was shining and not a cloud in the sky!! Which also meant nowhere to find shade! It was also all about the smells! The mounds and mounds of garbage was starting to heat up, the 5 days worth of port-o-loo's being suctioned into tanks, and 175000 people who have not showered for 5 days starting to get hot and sweaty and take their clothes off!!!

The Pierces - with their hippie look and retro sound fit in very well at Glastonbury.

The Noisettes

This is me trying to enjoy Paul Simon, but just couldn't because we happened to be sitting in a vortex of heat we think was created by an Alien holding a magnifying glass over us! Somehow only this spot was so hot and no breeze, I was so glad I'd bought this newspaper to create some shade!!
It was like being in a post-apocalyptic wasteland...

The last night ended with Beyonce! An amazing performer and she blew us all away!!

We managed to leave straight after Beyonce, get to the car and drive right off the grounds without having to Que at all!! [we'd heard nightmares about waiting hours and hours to get out] We drove 2 hours up the road and crashed in a Travelodge - best decision of our lives!

This is us after 2 showers - 1 was not enough! And a night's sleep in a real bed and not a tiny wet tent!!

Glastonbury, the weird and the wonderful!!

We saw quite the variety of crazy outfits, here is a sampling.

Glastonbury 4

The mud was getting out of hand on Day 2 as it rained all afternoon and night the first day.

The rubbish was getting out of control too. These people tried to clean it up every morning but it just started to take over.

Definitely glad we had our 99p tripod chairs!!

We still had a small patch of grass near our tent where no one walked. You can see how the mud just accumulated on your boot and your feet started to weigh 2-3times more.

It threatened all day but the clouds passed and by late afternoon, the sun came out!! Time to break open the box of wine and drink out of an old water bottle! Klassy! As is my outfit!

The one Canadian flag!!

Hello Sunshine!!

The lead singer of Friendly Fires busting some sweet moves!!

Grant enjoying Friendly Fires.
The massive crowd at the Pyramid stage for Elbow.

Festival for all ages!
[This is my favourite picture from the festival!!!]

Coldplay!

Wellies [rubber boots] are sold en masse in the UK because of fesitvals. So many varieties...here is a sampling from Glastonbury

These are Grant's, he almost didn't have any as we were looking last minute in London and all the outdoor stores were sold out, but we found these at a hardware store for cheap!!
